11 weeks

Daddy's favorite outfit
I love this little girl

our sleepy angel

Today we are 11 weeks. Ava got her very first pair of UGGs today. We are very excited to have our first new year together. Ava has started to enjoy being by herself more and more. She loves her jumperoo and her exersaucer more then being in her swing now. Most of all she loves being held though. She is still real cuddly and that is ok with mom and dad. We are completly in 3-6 month clothing and we are in 1-2 size diapers. Yes 1-2 some moran created the in between size that helps to bridge the gap between size 1 and size 2. They were a great gift from Tiffanie a friend from work. It's helped us from buying more diapers, but I do have to say don't go out of your way to buy these just get the next size up :). Anyways I decided to go and purchase some more Boppy covers as Ava loves to lay on them. Due to her lounging on them there is baby drool and spit up all over them all the time so they are in the wash alot. It's just easier to have a few on hand when ones being washed. I also bought a peanut sling. Ava loves it she able to be close to me the whole time and I am able to have 2 free hands. Its a sling that goes over your shoulder and around your back and holds the baby close so that you can do whatever plus you can nuse her and no one can see!!!

First Christmas

Today was Ava's first Christmas! She did great, no screaming or crying. She got so much stuff it was wonderful. It was a long day but she did great and it was great to see so much family. This was the best Christmas ever. Tony bought me the digital camera that i have wanted for a long time, it's amazing. Ava got several outfits and hair bows, she also got her first set of books and a bike trailer so she can go with mom and dad on bike rides. We are so blessed and thank everyone for their continued support and love. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

10 weeks

Today Christmas Eve Eve we are 10 wks old. We are getting ready to celebrate our first Christmas together! And tomorrow is mom's bday so we have to figure out what to do. The weather man keeps telling us that we are getting more snow, because the 3 feet we have now isn't enough!! ok well maybe not 3 feet but with some of the drifting the drifts are up to 3-4 feet high. Ava's first Christmas is going to be a white one!!! We had our two month check up last week and the doctor says that we are growing fast and on track!! He was really impressed with our neck strength. We didn't get an immunizations yet because mom says Ava is much too little to get all those yet. And since Ava is not in daycare and mom works at the ER we belive that we are working on building up our own immunizations any ways. But when Ava goes to school she will get her shots then. For now we are keeping her sweet and pure just the way God made her!

8 weeks :))

She's getting too big too fast!! We have gotten to the 8th week mark in life. It's going by so fast. This week we have finaly gotten over the diaper rash!!! YEAH! Ava is sleeping in her own room and to help fight cold season we have a small vaporizor in her room. SO far so good! Ava watched her first snow storm this morning. It was entertaining and keep her busy while I got things done. Ava loves takinh bath with Mom she is able to swim around and kick like no other. Ava spends more time in her swings bouncers glider and tummy time mat now.

Holy Diaper

The other morning I changed Ava's diaper, which was pretty full. Not more than minutes later I heard a noise and this is what I opened her sleeper to find! I think the picture explains itself

11lbs 7oz

Wow! We went from a tiny newborn to a 11lb 7oz beautiful happy baby. Ava now smiles when you talk to her. This melts my heart each and every time. I will never get sick of her smile. Ava has also started to coo and this is so special. It's getting harder and harder to leave for work because of all the things that keep changing with her. I am afraid that I am going to miss something. We set up Ava's first Christmas tree and put up her first ornament.

7 Weeks :)

Today marks our seven weeks of life! We have joined a playgroup and try to meet up once a week, Ava really doesn't know what it's all about but it gives me time to be an adult and talk to real people other than Ava all day. I mean I love having just the two of us sometimes but it's great to ask questions and share advice with friends! This group is some girls from high school and I love them! Their kids are cute and they are so nice and helpful. Ava is back in her own crib and when she is in our room she sleeps in her bassinet. Tony wanted to take it back since we spent so much money on it and she never slept in it. SO I have to make her sleep in it, it has dragonflies on it and it can't go back! Thanksgiving came and went so fast. We had alot of family to see and meet. It was a bit too much for the little miss as she became very fussy and we called it an early night. But it was so nice to see everyone and let Ava meet all of her family. Ava and I sat and watched it snow on Sunday night, she loved it! Hours past as we sat by the window watching the snowflakes cover the yard. The day after thanksgiving Great Aunt Julie babysat while Grandma Laura and I went shopping. Cousin Morgan and Aunt Julie said she was in love with the Christmas tree. She sat and stared at it for a while. Hopefully she loves Christmas as much as her mom and dad do.
