Today we came back from the dells again. This time we went to the Wilderness. Ava had a blast. We went into the wave pool as well as the lazy river. While she napped Great Aunt Julie watched her so that I could go on all the rides that the Wilderness offered. Ava did great. She slept, ate, and played well the whole time we were there. Everyone all 18 of us that went got a chance to hold Ava, and we had no tears. The weekend was wonderful, and relaxing.
The end of the weekend took a turn for the worse when we got a call that my cousin Lacey who is 14 was in a horrible car accident with my Aunt Jodene. We decided that we should go home and wait for news good or bad. Once we were on the road, we got the phone call that Lacey had passed away. It was the longest drive home I think I have every driven. A drunk driver hit and killed my poor little cousin who was an wonderful ice skater, Ava never got a chance to meet her. The comforting part is that my Grandmother I know greeted her with open arms in Heaven. She never got much time with Lacey here on earth, so now they have all the time they need to get to know each other. It just sucks the way it happened, God bless her parents and brothers who need strength and support as much as they can get right now. We love you and miss you Lacey Jo Ella
